Paws in Prison**Pablo was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners, and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Pablo will be looking for a forever home before he graduates in early December, so if you are interested in meeting him, please contact us!

Pablo showed up as a stray with his brother, Picasso.  He is sweet as can be and loves to smile at you. He has the sweetest little face with his dark features and soft eyes. His personality very much matches his appearance; he is calm, gentle and eager to please. Pablo does well with other dogs and loves to run and play. Smart little cookie this one! He will be good with kids and other dogs. Pablo is about 8 months old and weighs 50lbs, will be 60 tops when full grown.

Rufus

Pinscher Mix**Rufus was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners, and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Rufus will be looking for a forever home before he graduates in early December, so if you are interested in meeting him, please contact us!

Rufus is one happy and well behaved pup.  He was adopted from us as a puppy and just returned because he killed their chickens, so no chickens for him!  Otherwise, he loves everything and everybody.  He is good with kids and very good with other dogs.  He is smart as a whip too.  He will sit upon command and is housetrained.  He also loves booty scratches and affection. Rufus would make a great family pet or companion for any dog lover. He currently weighs 45lbs and is 9-10 months old.

Prissy

**Prissy was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. She will be crate trained, learn manners, and she will learn lots of tricks as well! Prissy will be looking for a forever home before she graduates in early December, so if you are interested in meeting her, please contact us!

Prissy is a woot! The first thing you will notice about her is how friendly and socialized she is. She loves everybody! She is also energetic and GO GO GO! She has FOMO (fear of missing out) and wants to be where the action is. She plays hard with other dogs but it’s always in good spirits. She has a great personality and is eager to please. She know simple commands and is house trained. She has not been around cats, but is very good with other dogs and kids. She would make a great family pet.

Luke

Luke came to us with his sister, London.  They were surrendered because their owner had too many dogs.  He looks like a Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd Mix to us.  He is a very active and playful dog and needs a place to run and play with people who will give him lots of attention.  He is very affectionate and loves human interaction. He does not like cats but is good with other dogs and kids.  Luke is eager to please and just wants a person to love on him and be with him all the time.  He will make a great companion dog for someone or a family.  He is just now a year old and weighs 45lbs.

**Luke was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He is now crate trained, has manners, and knows  a lot tricks as well!

**Update from the PIP trainer: Luke has demonstrated basics and more advanced training besides 20+ tricks. His handlers say that he is “well mannered, a love bug, and a dog that loves attention.”

Dewey

Dewey, Upon Arrival at SCHS

 

Paws in Prison**Dewey was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners, and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Dewey will be looking for a forever home before he graduates in early December, so if you are interested in meeting him, please contact us!

Despite his struggles upon arrival (see below), Dewey is the BIGGEST SWEETHEART. He loves affection and just wants to be held and cuddled. He gives us hugs and lays in our laps, even though he is a large dog.  Dewey also enjoys playing with other dogs and going for walks. He is house trained, neutered, up to date on shots and ready to find his new family!

Dewey was found starving and rummaging through trash at a campground in the National Forest. He only weighed 32 pounds and had a severe infection that we treated with antibiotics. He was also heart worm positive and completed his treatment for that once he was at a healthy weight.  Dewey is now a healthy 60 pounds and his blood work shows no signs of infection!
