Sundae is one of a kind. She showed up as a stray with her sister Sandie and was never claimed. She is friendly and does well with anyone she meets. She’s not at all shy or timid and loves belly rubs and to be by your side. She does well with cats, other dogs, and kids too. She has only been outside before we got her but has adapted well in the shelter and waits to go outside to do her business. She would be easily house trained. Sundae is about 2 years old and weighs 40lbs.

Sandie is very lovable and sweet. She showed up with her sister, Sundae, as a stray and was never claimed. We have no idea about her parents or her previous life, but we do know she’s special. She loves human attention, bully rubs, and just to be at your side. She is good with cats, other dogs, and kids. She would make a great family pet. She has only been outside but has adjusted well to being inside her kennel. She rarely has accidents, so is either fully or partially housetrained. Sandie is about 2 years old and weighs 35lbs.
Bones is such a good-looking “Labloodhound”- his mother was Labrador Retriever and we think dad must have been a bloodhound. He is super friendly and smart too. He has a very gentle, calm and loving nature and is a little shy but is very sweet. He loves human attention and is good with other dogs and kids too. He has been in a pen most of his life, but in spite of that he is still “a happy, easy going dog”. He has only been outside, but appears to be housetrained. Bones would make a great family pet.
This little love bug is Ham, aka Hamilton or Hammy. He is full grown at 26lbs and is such a sweetheart. He loves other dogs and goes crazy for booty scratches. He is very shy at first but will love you to death if you give him time to warm up to you! He has a very gentle nature and you can tell he just wants to be loved. Ham is house-trained, neutered and up to date on shots.
Itsy is such a character. She gets excited when her people approach her but is very well mannered and doesn’t jump all over us. She is also smart and knows simple commands. Itsy has a very gentle, loving nature and would do well with kids. She loves other dogs but cats not so much; she likes to chase them. Itsy enjoys playing in water, chewing on squeaky toys and she loves to explore. She would make a good adventure buddy! Itsy is house trained, spayed and current on vaccinations, plus she is already microchipped. Her current weight is 64lbs and she is almost 3 years old.
Picasso is playful, sweet, and full of personality. He is very socialized and affectionate but can be a little timid at first. He has only been outside, but is loving being inside at our shelter. He is doing pretty well with house-training, but still needs a little work. Picasso is good with other dogs and kids too. He is about 8 months old and 60lbs (as of 10/4/24), will probably be about 65-70lbs full grown.
Rover loves attention and is very affectionate. He appears to be housetrained and enjoys being outdoors. He is good with other dogs and kids too. He has not been around cats, but we can introduce him if necessary. Rover doesn’t bark much, only when a stranger comes to his door. He was never on a leash before we got him, but he walks great with a harness now. He is extremely smart, super sweet and needs a family or person who will shower him with attention and love. Rover is just under a year old and weighs 76lbs. He will be around 80-85 full grown.
**Prissy was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. She will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. She will be crate trained, learn manners, and she will learn lots of tricks as well! Prissy will be looking for a forever home before she graduates in early December, so if you are interested in meeting her, please contact us!
Hulk has gorgeous dark Brindled fur. His mom was a German Shepherd and Dad a black lab. Hulk is a character…he loves to toss around and bark at his metal food and water bowls. He also likes to bring his toys over to show us what he has or to play fetch. He loves attention and affection and is super sweet. He is also friendly to everyone and is good with most other dogs and kids, plus he is good with cats. Hulk had only been outside before he came here but is partially housetrained; he potties in his outside area and not in his room. Hulk is a happy pup, in need of a loving family. He is about 9 months old now and weighs 55lbs, so will be a bigger dog full grown.
