Kyla is a giant love bug! She puts her front paws on everyone and just wants to be held. If you are sitting, she will try and be in your lap and she is constantly rolling on her back for belly rubs. Kyla does not have a mean bone in her body and we have never seen anything negative with this girl (besides arguing with her siblings). She is calm, gentle and gets along great with other dogs and cats, but no chickens for this lady. Her mother was a Great Pyrenees and we don’t know what Dad is. She will be about 60lbs full grown (she is just over a year old now and 58lbs). She has wavy and thick, medium length white hair with Brindle patches.

**Dewey was enrolled in the Paws in Prison Program for 8 weeks of obedience training. He will be at the North Central Unit in Calico Rock. He will be crate trained, learn manners, and he will learn lots of tricks as well! Dewey will be looking for a forever home before he graduates in early December, so if you are interested in meeting him, please contact us!
Ebony is a little on the reserved side and is very relaxed. She was raised in a home since birth so was socialized, she is just very independent and likes to do her own thing. She loves to play with other kitties and toys, but spends most of her time lounging around observing the other kitties. She loves to get her head and cheeks scratched too. Ebony would be good as an indoor/outdoor kitty. She is litter box trained, vaccinated and spayed.
Kenna is 2.5 years old and weighs 62lbs. She is very slender and sleek with a blue speckle in one of her eyes- just a beautiful dog! She was returned to us after 2 years in a home, adopted as a puppy. The family just had a baby and Kenna became very protective of the baby and would fight with the other dog when it got too close. They were heartbroken to bring her back because she is really a great dog – loves to cuddle and is pretty calm and gentle. She is also housetrained and knows some simple commands. Kenna, for the most part, gets along with other dogs and loves kids. She has not been around cats, but we can introduce her if needed.
Snickers is a fun, affectionate young lady. She enjoys cuddles but also like to play. She is pretty laid back and loves other dogs and kids. Snickers would like a family that will offer tons of attention and affection; she prefers to be where the action is and not left all by her lonesome. A home with another dog would be great, but plenty of human attention will do just fine. Snickers is full grown at 45lbs and is just over a year old.
Opie came to us, with his brother Oden. Opie was blessed with the most beautiful blue eyes, but he has confidence issues – he is a little unsure of himself although he feels confident with another doggo around, so he will do best in a home with another k-9 companion. He loves other dogs and gets along with almost all of them. Opie is neutered, current on shots and is full grown at 35lbs. His adoption fee has been waived for our Clear the Shelter Event, but your application must be approved.
Buck has stolen all of our hearts. He always appears to be smiling and literally gives hugs. He is a 60 pound ball of joy! Buck has tons of energy and just wants to be where the action is. He does well with most other dogs, but prefers to be the only dog in the home. Buck is house and leash trained and LOVES going for walks. He is also very good at entertaining himself with a good bone and he loves to lay on his bed with his blankets. We believe Buck will make a great dog for anyone who will smother him with the love and attention he so desperately desires.
Sweetie is, as her name implies, very sweet. She tends to be overlooked when people visit our cat cottage because she doesn’t come out to say hello, but once you go to her start petting her, she is super affectionate. Loud noises and fast movements tend to startle her, so a calm, quiet home would suit her best. Sweetie is litter box trained, spayed and ready for adoption!
Mikey came to us with his brother, Monroe. They are an owner surrender and we were told the parents were Mountain Dog and Heeler. Mikey has been outside in a pen all of his life and not given much attention, so he is a little shy. He doesn’t potty in his pen, so would be easy to housetrain. Mikey loves to go for walks and chew on bones. He is a pretty neat guy once you get to know him.
